The Science

What Makes Our Bottles Truly Biodegradable?

Most "eco" bottles on the market are simply thinner conventional PET or oxo-degradable plastic. which break into microplastics rather than biodegrade. Our bottles are different.

We use PHA (Polyhydroxyalkanoate) and PLA (Polylactic Acid) blended biopolymers, both derived from renewable agricultural feedstocks. These materials are metabolised by naturally occurring microorganisms in soil and water environments, producing only CO₂, water, and biomass. no persistent microplastic fragments.

Our packaging carries independent compostability certification to IS/ISO 17088 from an accredited Indian laboratory, verifying degradation within 180 days at industrial composting temperatures (58 °C ± 2 °C).

Biodegradable Packaging FAQ

Are your biodegradable bottles safe for drinking water?
Yes. Our bioplastic bottles are BIS/ISI certified (IS 14543) and independently tested for migration of any chemical compounds into water. They meet all FSSAI and BIS standards for packaged drinking water containers.
What is the difference between biodegradable and compostable?
All compostable materials are biodegradable, but not all biodegradable materials are compostable to the same standard. Our packaging is certified compostable to IS/ISO 17088, meaning it biodegrades fully within a defined timeframe and does not leave toxic residues. a higher bar than generic "biodegradable" claims.
Can consumers compost these bottles at home?
Our bottles are certified for industrial composting (58°C). Home composting typically operates at lower temperatures and takes 12–24 months. We are working on a next-generation formulation optimised for home composting temperatures and aim to launch it by 2026.
Do the bottles look and feel different from regular PET bottles?
No. Our bioplastic bottles are crystal-clear, have the same rigidity and grip as conventional PET, and are fully compatible with standard capping, labelling, and filling equipment.
What is the minimum order quantity?
We accept orders from 500 units per SKU for standard sizes. Custom-label orders require a minimum of 500 units per label design. Please contact us for bulk pricing tiers.
